Sri Lanka Yoga Retreat March 28 - April 4, 2027
Join Flow State Wellness Studio for an unforgettable Sri Lanka yoga retreat in 2027. This immersive wellness experience combines daily yoga, meditation, breathwork, nourishing meals, cultural exploration, and intentional community in one of the world’s most beautiful destinations.
Cradled on the quiet, mangrove-fringed shores of Koggala Lake in southern Sri Lanka, Lanka Yoga unfolds as a sanctuary where jungle stillness meets intentional design—a place dreamed into being by teachers who longed for something more spacious, more soulful, more in harmony with the land. Here, light spills into open shalas and the rhythm of practice flows alongside birdsong and water, inviting you to slow, soften, and reconnect. Built with deep care for both people and planet, every detail—from the lake-facing spaces to the living gardens—whispers a quiet purpose: to nurture growth, restore balance, and weave together community, nature, and the gentle transformation that happens when you finally have room to breathe.
the intention
This retreat is an invitation into both outer discovery and inner return—a journey through the lush, soul-stirring landscapes of Southwest Sri Lanka, and a parallel exploration of the subtle terrain within. When we step beyond the rhythms of daily life, travel opens a rare kind of space—one where perspective softens, clarity emerges, and we can listen more honestly to the quiet voice of our own inner wisdom.
Each morning begins with practice in the serene embrace of Lanka Yoga, followed by a nourishing breakfast of seasonal, plant-based local ingredients. From there, our days unfold in a thoughtful balance of freedom and shared experience: wandering through nearby villages, savoring vibrant meals, venturing into the surf, gliding across the water by boat, and immersing ourselves in the richness of Sri Lankan culture.
In the spaces between, you’re invited to rest and receive—lounge by the infinity pool, take a tuk tuk to the coast, sway in a hammock with a book, or indulge in an Ayurvedic massage. Woven throughout it all is the practice of svadhyaya, or self-study—supported by twice-daily sessions of movement, pranayama, meditation, and inquiry—gently guiding you inward, toward a deeper connection with your body, mind, and heart.

Hi, I'm Alexandra or Allie, Alex, Al, I respond to them all. I grew up always having a camera in my hand. After I graduated high school, I moved to California to attend Art School, where I studied Film and Video. I quickly realized film was not what I wanted to do and eventually changed my focus where I fell in love with photography.
I've been growing my photography business in Charleston since 2015 and nurturing authenticity from behind the lens along the way. Little Runaway Photography was born out of wanting to capture our most wild, raw sides because we believe that is where the real story gets told.
