This one’s for you, yoga teachers.

You give so much — your voice, your energy, your touch. You pour into your students week after week, holding space for everyone else to grow. Now it’s your turn.

Join us in Baja, Mexico for a continuing education retreat built exclusively for yoga teachers ready to expand their craft and remember what it feels like to be a student again.

Over the course of the week, you’ll dive deep into the art of hands on assisting and the foundations of Thai Yoga Techniques — learning how to guide, ground, and connect through intentional touch. You’ll refine your awareness, rediscover confidence in your adjustments, and gain tools that bring more depth, safety, and support into every class you lead.

Earn CEUs, connect with fellow teachers, and step back into the seat of the student … so you can return to your community with renewed purpose, embodied wisdom, and a little more magic in your hands.

This week is a hybrid where retreat meets training for you yoga teachers. Included are thorough morning asana classes with juicy hands on assists, daily workshops in the art of hands on assists, focusing on group class approaches and techniques, AND evening workshops led by guest expert in Thai Yoga Techniques to blend into your hands on approach with students.

Meet the Team - Together, we are Flow State – The Exclusive.

A collective of educators, space holders, and body wisdom guides devoted to creating rich, connected retreat experiences rooted in movement, touch, and authentic community.

  • I am a 500+ E-RYT and have taught thousands of hours of yoga all over the world. I started as a Baptiste trained teacher and fell in love with the vigor of the asana practice, but soon began to explore creative movement; weaving in unique, functional, and dancelike sequencing that felt like strong poetry to my body.

My true aim is to create safe and inclusive spaces for people ready to go inward whether on retreat on in a training. I work to balance the spaces and containers from the yogic idea of Stirtha Sukha - strength and ease: often encouraging people to their edges for growth while fostering a caring resting place for all.

Kate — Founder of Flow State Wellness

Retreat Lead · Yoga Teacher · Educator · Space Holder

Kate is the heart behind everything we offer. A true retreat queen and movement enthusiast, she carries a deep vision for community and for the full spectrum of yoga practice to be experienced beyond the mat. Kate weaves education, embodiment, and soulful connection into every retreat container she creates.
On retreat, Kate leads as our primary facilitator — guiding yoga classes, holding group space, and ensuring each experience feels intentional, expansive, and deeply supported.

  • Mishiah Crute is a yoga teacher, educator, and facilitator known for her precise, intuitive, and deeply respectful approach to hands on assists. Her work centers on helping practitioners and teachers understand touch as a language one rooted in listening, consent, breath, and energetic intelligence rather than force or correction. With years of experience training teachers in trauma informed assisting, Mishiah specializes in helping bodies feel safe enough to soften, organize, and learn. Her teaching blends anatomical clarity with subtle body awareness, emphasizing timing, presence, and relationship over technique alone. In this retreat, Mishiah brings her expertise in hands on assists to support practitioners in experiencing what skillful touch can offer when it is grounded, attuned, and responsive to the person in front of you.

Mishiah — Hands-On Assist Expert

Lead Lecturer · Lab Facilitator · Group Class Teacher

Mishiah is globally known for her powerful and intuitive approach to touch. She will be leading the majority of lectures and hands-on labs, as well as teaching group classes throughout the retreat.
Her work bridges technical skill with deep presence — and when Kate and Gess are in Charleston, they run to her classes to experience it firsthand. Mishiah’s teaching transforms how students understand and offer physical assists.

  • Hi, I’m Gessica — a 200-hour RYT and someone who’s endlessly curious about the human experience. My love for movement and breath led me to yoga, but it was the practice of self-study that truly cracked me open. Through asana, I began to discover myself — piece by piece — and that journey of inner exploration continues to shape the way I move through the world.

I’m passionate about helping others reconnect with their bodies by slowing down, tuning inward, and learning to listen to the subtle wisdom within. I believe that when we soften enough to hear the whispers of the body, we open the door to a deeper understanding of ourselves .

I met Kate four years ago, and it changed everything. She trained and mentored me, but more than that, she invited me into a way of teaching and being that is creative, honest, and fiercely authentic.

Flow State has been home to my evolution as both a teacher and a human, and I’m grateful every day for the community it continues to shape.

Gess — Senior Facilitator

Flow Guide · Emotional Anchor · Community Weaver

Gess brings her signature funky flows, empathetic heart, and open ears into every space she enters. Her authenticity and grounded energy help hold each group container with care and integrity.
You’ll experience Gess through her creative movement classes and her loving warmth as she supports and assists the retreat experience wholeheartedly — in practice and in relationship.

  • Galileo said “If I’ve seen further it’s because I’ve stood on the shoulders of giants.” Since beginning as a massage therapist in 2004 I’ve had the pleasure of studying under many giants in the wellness field, and I’m eager to pass these teachings along to you. Our lives are unique compositions we create in this world. When we can alleviate the restrictions in our own bodies we allow that masterpiece to emerge more fluidly and authentically. The outside world gives us plenty of storms to weather. Having a nimble vehicle makes the ride way more fun when we’re not fighting ourselves along the way.

My aim is to help others uncover their optimal potential through Thai techniques that I’ve learned from myriad lineages. These tools can help your clients find more agency in attaining the fullest expression of their practice on and off the mat. Life is often a practice of letting go of what no longer serves us, and sometimes we need a little help in that process. It’s a huge honor to assist others through that which binds them and towards newfound vision of their highest path. I look forward to helping you build your repertoire from which you can confidently hold that privileged position for those you serve.

Brian — Thai Yoga & Bodywork Specialist

Workshop Leader · Bodywork Practitioner

Brian will guide us through Thai Yoga techniques in a special workshop designed to deepen our approach to working with student bodies — physically and energetically.
Throughout the week, he will also be offering bodywork sessions to retreat participants, providing hands-on integration and nervous system support alongside our educational journey.
